تجزیه و تحلیل هر یک از این سه فضای جغرافیایی اعمال حاکمیت می‌‌تواند اطلاعاتی در مورد بردارهای احتمالی حمله با تحلیل نقاط قوت و ضعف جامعه هدف ، برای کاهش نفوذ و توانایی آنها برای عملکرد آزادانه در فضای مجازی ارائه داده و حملات را از دیدگاه جوامع هدف ارزیابی نموده و شرایطی را برای مدافعان حکومت و کشور فراهم می‌‌کند که مخاطرات در فضاهای مختلف را شناسایی و در جهت مقابله با آن اقدام نمایند. در مفهوم سنتی قدرت، قدرت سخت مطرح است که به دنبال تغییر رفتار با تهدید و اجبار مستقیم است. به موازات پیشرفت تکنولوژی، رویکرد قدرت نرم به عنوان جایگزین و یا همراه روش‌‌های قدرت سخت نظامی به وجود آمد.
